Career coaching

You’re not really sure what you want from your career but you’re pretty sure it’s not this.

You’ve invested so much time and energy, actual years of your life have been devoted to your research and your teaching but the reality of working in the 21st century university is slowly grinding you down and you are not sure how much longer you can go on like this.

You need a space where you can collect your thoughts, consider your options and decide on your next move.

It would be great if I could now write a sentence about how coaching with Maxine is a great way to achieve escape velocity and get you the hell out of academia and into a job that values you as a person and honours your dedication and passion for your work. That sounds really exciting but it doesn’t usually happen like that! Most previous clients have looked at their work and decided there was more good than bad in their jobs and we worked together to maximise the good. We find either a change in focus on the work, a reprioritisation of how to work or develop a plan to look for a role with a better fit elsewhere.

Coaching gives you the space to find out what is important for you and the confidence to start a path towards having more of that in your work and your life.
