I basically have two weeks to reboot my dissertation – two weeks to get something (anything) onto paper and get it out of the door. (Eventually I’ll share the story of why I don’t have a dissertation with only six week to submission!)
In my panic, I’m taking amoment to remind myself of the writing advice that has got me this far.
Pat Thomson – her great co-authored book “Writing for peer reviewed journals” and her blog regularly get me thinking about how to get started with writing – what is it that I really want to say?
Raul Pacheco-Vega – hig great blog and his Twitter feed are the definition of generous scholarship. I’m a big fan of his workflow for writing and how he suceeds by workingon several writing projects at the smae time.
Rowena Murray – Murray is a new authority to me, having seen her recommended on the #WiASN but I made my university library buy her book and I love her prompts for starting writing, especially for free writing when you are feeling stuck. Ths was a tactic I employed liberally during my thesis writing. So good.
