So I have 8 weeks until Xmas and then there are 13 (ha!!) weeks until Brexit.
Now it’s quite possible that something will intervene and, like a terrible movie where they stop the bomb with 2 seconds left on the clock, Brexit won’t go ahead. However, I have no faith that this is likely. Instead I want to be out of here whilst I still have free movement. I have a couple of irons in the fire around ensuring secure employment in 2019 and beyond,I acutally thing my bets plan from here on in is to focus on my freelance work. If I work on my coaching and web design then I can be location independent and, hopefullly, a little sheltered fromt he fallout of Brexit.
My concern right now is which (coaching or web design) do I focus on or is it possible to bring on two income streams at the same time?
I will then need to rework this website so that it reflects these career aims rather than the hedging-my-bets/don’t-discount-academia of last year. Feels sad to close the door but I don’t have time to be doing all the unseen labour that is required to get a post doc these days
